Player Ratings – Who’s Hot in Underwater Hockey?

If you follow underwater hockey, you know the game moves fast and the players need sharp skills. That’s why we put together a simple rating system that shows who’s excelling and who needs a boost. In this page you’ll get quick snapshots of each player’s recent form, plus a clear breakdown of how we calculate the scores.

How We Rate Players

Our rating formula mixes three easy factors: goals, assists, and defensive plays. Every goal adds two points, each assist adds one point, and a clean defensive block gives a half‑point. We also factor in minutes played so the stats stay fair for bench players. All numbers are added up and then divided by the total games in the last two weeks to give a final rating out of ten.

We keep the math transparent. If a player scores three goals, two assists and makes four blocks in a match, the calculation looks like this: (3×2) + (2×1) + (4×0.5) = 10 points. Split that by the two games they played and you get a 5.0 rating for the period. The higher the rating, the more impact they’re having on the pool.

Top Rated Players This Week

Here are the players who topped the charts in the past week:

  • James “Shield” Moyo – 8.7 rating. Scored 5 goals, 3 assists and made 6 defensive blocks in three matches.
  • Lena van der Merwe – 8.3 rating. Led the scoring with 4 goals and 4 assists while keeping a clean sheet on defense.
  • Thomas “Turbo” Nkosi – 7.9 rating. Known for speed, he logged the most minutes and contributed 3 goals and 5 assists.

These numbers change every game, so a player who’s low today could surge tomorrow. That’s the excitement of player ratings – they give you a real‑time feel for who’s making a difference.

Want to see how your favorite team’s stars stack up? Scroll down to the full list of ratings, filter by position, and compare stats side by side. You can also submit your own observations if you think a player deserves a higher score.

Remember, the rating is a tool, not a verdict. A player might have a low rating because they’re playing a defensive role that doesn’t show up in goals or assists. Look at the whole picture – minutes, impact on the game flow, and teamwork.

We update the ratings every 24 hours, so you’ll always have fresh data before the next match. Check back often, and you’ll never miss a rising star or a surprising comeback.

Enjoy the stats, share them with your friends, and keep cheering for the amazing talent in underwater hockey. The pool is waiting – who will climb the next rating ladder?
